What the Supervisor Should Know?

The Consumer and Producer Protection Organization implements various supervisory plans to prevent economic violations and effectively control the market. One of the programs of this organization is the utilization of the public's capacity and potential in monitoring the market through the "Volunteer Supervisors Plan." This plan specifically focuses on employing the supervisory capabilities of the general public at various social levels. Therefore, the relevant provincial structures attract and train citizens as volunteer supervisors, who conduct discreet monitoring of the market. They utilize information and news obtained from market changes to manage and control price shocks and, in some cases, shortages of goods.

The supervisors have specific identification codes that allow them to assess and monitor performance discreetly. They act as a monitoring and control eye by reporting market conditions, violations by commercial units, and related problems, with their reports being examined from a professional perspective.

Objectives of the Volunteer Supervisors Plan:

1. Increase the monitoring of market violations as stated in the Trade Law.

2. Cleanse the business environment.

3. Target the actions of supervisors in dealing with commercial violations.

4. Make the market unsafe for violators.

5. Create security and peace for compliant commercial units.

6. Expand public participation in market monitoring.

Duties of the Supervisors:

Volunteer supervisors are required to adhere to the following points:

1. Their activities should remain discreet, and they are not allowed to introduce themselves to the commercial unit.

2. Familiarity with their responsibilities and the violations specified in the Trade Law and the legal system.

3. Awareness of the latest approved rates, customs, and distribution regulations for goods and services.

4. Supervisors must include their 10-digit identification code in all reports (telephone, written, and in-person visits).

5. Avoidance of bias and maintaining neutrality while collecting evidence for and against the violator.

6. In addition to continuous reporting, volunteer supervisors should report during specific times, such as Ramadan, the beginning of the school year, and the end of the year (Nowruz).

7. Contributing to economic security, cleansing the business environment, and making it unsafe for violations.
